Adam Levine is an American singer who's best known for being the vocalist of the Pop Rock band Maroon 5. He was originally in the band Kara's Flowers before their split. He first came to prominence along with Maroon 5 through their debut album Songs About Jane released in 2002. Together, they have earned 3 Grammy Awards, 2 American Music Awards, a World Music Award, and many others. Beside his strong involvement in music, Levine is also an actor. He starred in the horrow TV show American Horror Story: Asylum and had a supporting role in the film Begin Again (2013). Levine has participated in the American reality TV show The Voice as a coach since 2011. His teams have won 2 out of 7 seasons so far.
Levine stated that his mother was the one who inspired him on his musical path. He co-founded the band Kara's Flowers in 1994 who later released an album but it was not successful. After the band's breakup, Levine moved to New York with one of his former band-mates. The band reunited in 2001 with the addition of a new member. Their name was changed to Maroon 5, and the band's career was switched to a new direction.
Levine married Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo in 2014 after 2 years dating. He is also an open supporter of same-sex marriage, having his brother being gay.
